Rev. D.J. Emmerson began his ministry in the late 1940's as an evangelist. He pastored several churches before moving to Kitchener Waterloo in 1960. During a very unique experience he heard the audible voice of God say “it is now time to open a church in Kitchener.” He and his wife Edna began with three families in a YMCA room. He is both a pioneer and a patriarch. Now in his senior years, he is still active in the work God called him to do.
